I'm slowly getting there.

I've been doing a lot of reading up on the importance of fruit and vegetables this week and I've discovered many new facts! One thing I know for sure is that the average Australian should be having at least five vegetables and two peices of fruit a day. A day! Not a week. A day! And to think I only have maybe half of that a day. If I am lucky.

For breakfast/lunch I decided to have some soup that I found in the kitchen. It's probably my sisters soup and i'm probably going to get into a lot of trouble but ah well. What are little sisters for aye aye aye? ;) Why I choose this soup was because it said that it consisted of four vegetables! Yes! So of course I ate it all up with pride! :)

I didn't really eat much that afternoon, I was too focused on my stupid uni work. When I was really hungry however but knew that I had a big dinner coming up, I made myself a bowl of granny smith apples and yoghurt with muesli. I have totally forgotten how good a granny smith apple tastes! Omg, chopping them up into little cubes... and having bite sized apple peices makes it so much easier for me to down an entire apple. The only reason why I NEVER eat apples is because I hate biting into them. I feel like my mouth/teeth aren't strong enough for it! And then I am so lazy, I can never be bothered to chop it up. This not this time. I did it this time :)

I was so friggen proud, I took a photo and sent it to my boyfriend who is currently eating healthy because of fight training. Yeah I am just as healthy now!

I got up with a friend who I met in Europe for dinner tonight. It was so good seeing her again, and weird seeing her in Sydney! We went to an Italian restaurant and it was so funny explaining to her my food blog because obviously I had to explain why I was taking photos of my food. It was so nice to hear how interested she was! She was so fascinated and thought it was such a good idea and suggested some blogs to me which was amazing. For starters, we had bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.... It made us miss Italy so, so much!!
And then for the mains, I tried so hard to follow some of the health rules. I chose a tomato based sauce because they were always the healthier option instead of the creamy sauces. And I went for beef because I wanted my iron I guess... and I chose the dish with an array of vegetables. For dessert... I decided to spoil myself and go for the self saucing chocolate pudding with icecream.

Who can say no to that?! ;)

Today I think the blog has really gotten to me. I love talking about it to people, and I keep trying to think about what I eat. I do feel less guilty, which is a good sign!

Nobody judge me!
