Q: Do I have to take photos all the time?
A: No you don't! If you want to draw, or scribble, it's ok! As long as you document your eating habits for the day, no matter what format that's all that matters.
Q: How long do I have to document for?
A: If you want to really make the most of it, three to four weeks straight will be the most effective time frame. It gives you enough time to slowly see the progression in your eating habits, the way you think about what you choose to eat. I mean, it's up to you how long you want to document for, some people may only choose to do two weeks straight. The aim is to make you feel guilty and change the way you want to eat.
Q: Do I have to document EVERYTHING?
A: Yes! We want to see that sneaky little (or king size) chocolate bar that you had just after that bowl of fruit. Don't worry, we have all been there before! Documenting everything will make you feel even more guilty because you know you have to record that bowl of icecream. It makes you rethink about your choices - what looks better? Icecream or fruit with yogurt?
Q: What happens if I miss a day?
A: Look, I can't control your documentation, this is all up to you. If you miss a day, maybe try to make up for it? I remember when I forgot to take a photo of my lunch because I was just sooo hungry! So I just found a replacement photo from Google instead! As long as we all get to see what you ate, that's all that matters.
